The Brooklyn Bar Association Offers Resources to Lawyers and Public

James Kilduff is a senior trial attorney at the Lazzaro Law Firm and specializes in criminal defense. He serves as a lawyer in New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area, including Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and the counties of Nassau and Westchester. As the Lazzaro firm is based in Brooklyn, James Kilduff is a member of the Brooklyn Bar Association.

Since 1872, the Brooklyn Bar Association has aimed to improve the quality of legal services in Brooklyn by enhancing the skills and knowledge of lawyers. The association offers several yearly Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs for members, as well as an annual ethics seminar. Additionally, members can take advantage of many networking opportunities, such as practice-area-specific committees, new member mixers, and an annual dinner.

In addition to benefiting lawyers, the Brooklyn Bar Association assists the public in accessing and navigating the legal system. The association offers a lawyer referral service and also sponsors the Volunteer Lawyers Project. Through this program, individuals who cannot afford to pay for legal services can receive free legal counsel and representation.
